Luke Leisman

Midwest Project Developer & Astrophysicist


Luke is the Midwest Project Developer for the Internship Network in the Mathematical Sciences (Inmas), and a Visiting Research Assistant Professor in Astronomy. As project developer he works with companies and other organizations creating new internship opportunities for graduate students in the mathematical sciences, serving as a liaison between industry and academia. As astronomy professor, Luke studies radio waves from extreme galaxies, working with students and collaborators from around the world. Luke also is an affiliate adjunct professor of Physics and Astronomy at Valparaiso University. When he’s not working on astronomy or math, Luke enjoys kayaking, reading, playing the violin, and hanging out with friends.
